Updated: Derailment on CFR network 24-11-2021

On 24th November a freight train derailed at Balota station on the line Timișoara - Orșova - Filiași. Having a total track closure on Arad - Simeria line till 28th November, the current rerouting option is Curtici – Arad – Oradea – Cluj Napoca (not electrified) – Apahida – Teius.

Due to the efforts of CFR's experts the traffic has been reopened on the line Timișoara - Orșova - Filiași. For the time being only 3 tracks can be used in Balota station, therefore train recomposing is still not possible. Major delays can be expected.
