International incident between Komárom - Komárno updated: 18-01-2023

Update of 18-01-2023:

Electric traction has been reintroduced on Komárom - Komárno border section.

Update of 02-12-2022:

Komárom - Komárno border section has become operational with diesel traction.

On 25th November a freight train derailed between Komárom and Komárno, in Slovakia, damaging overhead lines and the tracks.
Border section Komárom - Komárno is closed. The restoration work is expected to take days.
